Q5 MEDIA EMAIL SETUP

Quick Reference:

  • Mail Account Type: POP or POP3
  • Incoming (POP) Mail Server: mail.domain.com (where domain.com is your Web site's domain name.)
  • Outgoing (SMTP) Mail Server: mail.domain.com (where domain.com is your Web site's domain name.)
  • User Name: Your ENTIRE email address (yourname@domain.com)
  • Authentication: Q5 Media servers require SMTP Authentication. Check the "My server requires authentication" box or option. Log in using your ENTIRE email address and password.
    Do NOT choose "Secure Password Authentication (SPA)".

Webmail:
Your email account is accessible online via your Web browser. Go to http://mail.domain.com (where domain.com is your Web site's domain name) and log in using your ENTIRE email address and password.

Domain adminstrators can also use this address and their webadmin@domain.com username and password to log in and manage (add, edit, delete) all users in the domain.

Spam:

Application-Specific Instructions:

Sending Errors:
If you can recieve email using the above settings but can't send, or get an error on send, you most likely need to use your ISP's (the company that provides Internet access to your home or office) SMTP mail server instead of the Q5 Media mail server (mail.domain.com where domain.com is your Web site's domain name).
